The oplatek is a wafer that is broken and shared among loved ones as a Polish tradition on Christmas Eve. OPLATEKMAS is a pattern series that applies this practice to design. As you share the oplatek, you wish well upon others and in some cases those who have passed. There is a grid-like rhythmn as an ode to the rectangular shape of the oplatek while being accompanied by traditional symbols of loss and togetherness to wed the wafer to a more modern Christmas.
